Two years ago when I was a sophomore in my university,I spent a week to tour in Guilin in the summer vacation. That is one of my best tour experience!

I feel lucky that I happened to have a friend is a Guilin local people, we studied in the same university and recognized each other via campus organization activities. Before the summer vacation,she organized 6 good firends to have a travel to her home town: Guilin.And I am in her invitation list. Then our tour began after the examinations at the end of that term.
Guilin is a prefecture-level city in China, situated in the northeast of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on the west bank of the Li River. Its name means “forest of Sweet Osmanthus”, owing to the large number of fragrant Sweet Osmanthus trees located in the city. The city has long been renowned for its unique scenery. And this city is not big, you can take a motorbike or even a bike to go around the whole city. We were so excited that her family lives just near the most famous site in Guilin city: Elephant Trunk Hill. So we went that place the other day by bike. And the Elephany Trunk Hill is standing in the Li River, after we had supper in her family,we went to Li river and had a swim, quite cool water, but not cold, just suitable for the summer.

There is a old saying in China, which goes like “Guilin’s scenery is best among all under heaven”. It is a definitely true definition to Guilin’s beautiful landscapes. All in your eyes are prosperous trees and flowers, among them, some of are what I have never seen before.
About the landscapes in GUilin, you can search on the internet, c’z my words can not fully express its beauty. But I have to say that there are other things impress me a lot in Guilin, which are the local cuisines and local osmanthus wine. The most famous cuisine in Guilin should be Guilin Rice Noodle, the difference between the rice noodles in Guilin and other places is that Guilin rice noodle do not have soup with the noodles. While the other rice noodles always goes with hot soup. And the good taste of Guilin Rice Noodle comes from its special ingredients. I can not remember them all or even recognize them, but I surely remember that they are tasty. As for the wine, the most famous one is called “Osmanthus wine”, which is infused with osmanthus aroma in it,both smells and taste good. If you go to Guilin city, these two are what you must try no matter you like them or not.
