History of Shanghai
Shanghai is known worldwide for a metropolis three main interests: business, shopping, tours and visits. But the city was not always so.
6000 years ago in Shanghai was the place of culture Songz situation. The first ancestors of the people of Shanghai were born here, and the site is located west of Shanghai Hongqiao Airport.

In the 17th century, there were signs of growing prosperity in Shanghai. After the Opium War in 1843, Shanghai was forced into a commercial port open. In 1927 the city became a special municipality under the Kuomintang. In 1949, after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Shanghai was one of the municipalities under the central government.

Today, Shanghai is a dynamic city is changing dramatically from year to year. In 2002, Shanghai began to build a new deep water container port. The new interface allows access for container ships which can carry between 5,000 and 6,000 20-foot containers.
Shanghai is also the only city in China with two international air ports, which handle an annual capacity of 100 million passengers.
The Shanghai Maglev Train is the first magnetic levitation train. Drive 30 kilometers Longyang Road Station and Shanghai Pudong International Airport takes just 7 minutes. The maglev train has a maximum speed of 430 km / h
The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the highest in Asia and the 3rd highest in the world. It is 468 meters high, and visitors can enjoy panoramic views over the city.
